SOCS (Save
Our Critter Society) is a volunteer non-profit (501c3) animal
rescue group formed in 1993. Based on the belief that an
individual person can better one animal's life, SOCS is
dedicated to helping abandoned, abused, and injured cats find
loving homes, one at a time. That same belief also
recognizes that the best decisions are not always easy, but it
also takes courage to make a difference.
SOCS is funded by
public donations, memberships in our Society, and various fund
raisers. No financial support is received from government
agencies. Our existence depends solely on the generosity
of animal lovers who support our beliefs.
SOCS is not a shelter. All the cats and kittens we take
in are kept in our foster homes. The number of cats we can
help is directly related to the number of people who are willing
to open their hearts and homes to the cats and kittens who need
a place to live until they are adopted by a loving family.
The benefits of the unconditional love from a companion animal are
only beginning
